300 Round Can - 7.62x51mm L2A2 Ball Surplus Ammo from Malaysia - 146 Grain Bi-metal FMJ - Brass Case Berdan Primer

Late 1970s to Early 1980s Malaysian manufacture L2A2 mil-spec 7.62x51 surplus ammunition packed in 300 round original military ammo cans, mostly 1978 to 1982 from what I have seen. The cans are M19A1 type commonly called 30 cal cans. Please note that some of the cans will be rusty in places and the seals can be so set in place the gasket may break when you open them and the packaging shows roughness from its 37 years of age. The ammo itself is mostly very clean looking, but we saw some rounds with minor cosmetic tarnish in a few cans out of the dozen or so we inspected. It will still be reliable military grade ammo, just starting to show its age cosmetically.  Each can is neatly stenciled with the military markings. It features attributes such as a brass case, a non-corrosive berdan primer that is non-reloadable and a lead core bullet that has a magnetic bi-metal jacket.  Packaging is 7x40 round boxes, and one 20 round box, making a total of 300 rounds per can, 3 cans in a crate. This is a new item here at SGAmmo, in 16 years of the ammo business I had never had it before, but I did a bit of google searching about this ammo and it seems to be very well liked from reviews on gun forums from years past. I have added a lot of pictures of this item so you can see it from just about any angle

Customer Reviews

I've sent thousands through my Scar 17 and PTR 91 collectively without any issue. Been recommending this to anyone whos shooting BRs, and gotten many to try it out for themselves and have simliar opinions. Combat accuracy is quite impressive, just dont expect miraculous groups if precision is your thing. Perfect for shooters who tend to shoot a considerable volume of rounds while at the range.
Absolutely flawless function in both my Armalite AR10 and Springfield M1A. We also use this in class 3 guns like our Browning 1919 and G3 and it runs like a champ. If this ammo does not work in your gun then your gun needs work. This is the real deal military grade 7.62x51 ammo for sale. Do not let the age or tarnish fool you, this ammo shoots like new ammo, in fact it shoots better than more new ammo, extremely accurate and consistent. Watch where your brass lands when you shoot this and it practically piles up in the same spot, that is a sign of consistently loaded ammo. I am stocking up on 20 cans while its here and will come back for as much more as I can before its gone. Great deal for bulk 7.62x51 military surplus ammo
My Patriot Ordinance Revolution is butter-smooth and shoots everything I put into it so far, with the exception of an occasional FT-Extract on a steel-cased cartridge, and this Malaysian L2A2. 5% of these Malaysian rounds were FT-fire. The primer was deeply-dented but did not go off. DUDS! I still recommend that you buy some of this Malaysian stuff for the same reason I did. Which is that you will never know how your rifle performs with low quality ammo until you run some through it. You need to know how low you can go and this ammo was the most challenging test for mine.
The can looked amazing, and the ammo looked just as good. Ammo is in great condition and fires well. SGAmmo is truly the best for ordering ammo.
I received my order quickly and the ammunition came in a sealed .30 cal ammo box dated 12-81. The ammunition I have inspected is tarnished but otherwise in fine condition. So far, I have fired 20 rounds with a Century Arms C308 totally without incident. Using a 1x red dot scope from the 25 yd available at my house, this ammunition groups as well as I can shoot. No complaints here!
Got a lot from 1979. Can was sealed so tight I needed to use a breaker bar to help open it. Can was in good shape considering it was packed in 1979. Ammo boXes were still sealed with tape and was in good shape. The ammo is tarnished as you would expect for ammo this old but otherwise looks fine and should go bang when fired. Another quick shipment and good deal from SGAmmo.
Just got my can manufactured 6-81. Beautiful looking rounds, have always run well in my PSA AR10. The can is fantastic, and has a gloss finish. It is as shiny as the hood on a new car. I'm going to find a use for it once it is empty.
I received my crate today. 1979 dated ammo with heavy tarnish and some crusty corrosion on the bullet tips. Cans were still sealed too well. Had to knock it around to break the seal. It was vacuumed packed and made the tennis ball can opening sound when the seal broke. Cannot speak to whether or not it shoots ok yet.
The can looked great, was sealed well. Ammo shoots great out of my FAL, also doesn't seem to be very dirty. My vintage was 1982, and looks great. Cannot be beat for the price!
The can was in great condition, when I cracked it open the inside was fantastic, the seal was new-looking! The ammo looked like it came off the assembly line yesterday! Fires as expected, great ammo!
